Tarkmet offers a wide range of accessories and safety equipment for hydraulic presses, designed to improve both usability and operator safety. In addition, several customization options are available for presses and their NC control systems to enhance production efficiency. Accessories for Hydraulic Presses
Mandrel Set
Our mandrel set is designed to simplify tasks such as bearing installation, assembly work, and disassembly. The set includes seven cylindrical mandrels ranging from 20 to 50 mm. Whenever something needs to be installed or removed, the mandrel set is an essential accessory.
Mandrel Rack
No more mandrels scattered across tables and drawers! The mandrel rack keeps your tools organized and easily accessible, and can be placed right next to the press. The rack also includes space for a bending tool.
Bending Tool
Tarkmet has developed a bending tool for sheet materials, allowing you to conveniently perform smaller bending operations in-house. Maximum load capacity: 20 t.
LED Work Light
Safer operation and improved work quality. Our LED work light enhances both comfort and safety. It can be installed inside the frame or attached with a magnet for flexible positioning.
Steel Pallet
If mobility is required, a steel pallet mounted under the press is an ideal solution. Roughly the size of a EUR pallet, it is bolted to the press and allows it to be easily moved with a pallet jack, for example for storage between uses.
Guards and Safety Equipment for Hydraulic Presses
Standard Splinter Guard, Flip-Up
A cost-effective and reliable basic guard. Made of plexiglass, it can be easily adapted to any press model. It is especially popular in workshop environments with occasional pressing. The guard can also be retrofitted to older MKH presses and similar machines from other manufacturers (visit product page to check dimensions for compatibility).
Lightweight Splinter Guard, Sliding Upwards
A user-friendly and easy-to-use guard made of polycarbonate. It slides upward and can be positioned at the desired height. Ideal for applications where the guard is frequently opened and closed. Available for all press types we manufacture.
Custom Guards
If standard guards are not suitable due to machine modifications or workspace constraints, we design and manufacture custom solutions. Guards can be side-opening, sliding, or otherwise adapted – possibilities are virtually unlimited. We also provide guards for presses from other manufacturers.
Additional Side Guard, Fixed
We offer fixed side guards made of polycarbonate. These are essential safety components when there is a risk of the pressed part fragmenting and when the press setup requires side protection.
Laser Safety Scanner
A laser safety scanner creates a defined, fan-shaped safety zone around the NC press. If someone enters the area, the machine stops automatically. This is especially important in applications where it is unsafe for operators to be near the press. In such cases, the press can be equipped with a robot that loads the workpieces into the press.
Light Curtain
A light curtain creates a safety beam in front of the press. If the beam is interrupted, the press stops. Multiple light curtains can be used to form a safety enclosure around the machine.
Two-Hand Control
Ensures that the operator’s hands remain outside the pressing area during operation, preventing the risk of injury.
Tailoring Options for Hydraulic Presses
Custom Dimensions
If the workpieces are large, the press must match in size and force. We customize the frame width, throat depth, and height according to customer requirements. For example, we have manufactured presses with a 1.6 m opening and 200 t capacity.
Foot Pedal Control
Foot pedal control can be installed on Tarkmet’s presses. It allows easier positioning of the workpiece by freeing both hands. The pedal can be pneumatic or electric and is equipped with a safety sensor.
Horizontally Movable Cylinder
A laterally movable cylinder improves flexibility when positioning the workpiece. Mounted on rollers, the cylinder can be moved to the side of the press opening, allowing pressing on specific areas of the part. This is particularly useful when the geometry of the workpiece makes centering difficult.
Winch
A winch can be integrated for lifting the press table. With automatic braking, it is faster than a standard cylinder lift and improves production efficiency.
Cassette Table, Extendable
With a cassette table, handling takes place on an extended table surface. The workpiece can be easily placed, pushed into the press, and then pulled back out for intermediate steps or lifting. Load capacity: 700 kg.
Air-Assisted Rotating Table
An air-assisted rotating table helps align the workpiece and improves ergonomics. Example: Ø1 m table with 2000 kg capacity.
Air-Assisted Linear Table
Moves linearly either forward/backward or sideways. Especially popular for C-frame presses, making workpiece positioning easier.
Fixed Table Plate
A fixed steel plate with threaded holes allows secure fastening of workpieces or tools. This ensures stability without manual holding.
NC Control Customization
PC-Based Data Logging
Instead of USB-based logging, NC presses can be equipped with PC-based software. Press data (e.g. force, oil temperature, speed) is transferred directly to the system. Data is recorded at high frequency (every 30 ms) and can be viewed or exported, for example to Excel.
Additional Services
Operator Training
We provide comprehensive training for both our software and presses. Training is especially recommended for NC press users. It is tailored to customer needs and can be conducted on-site or via remote connection.
